With babies and young toddlers, buy cheap whites to wear around the house for everyone. When your toddler smears their pbj hands and face into you, nothing expensive is ruined. Washing will be the same for everything, just bleach it all together and if its just worn around the house stains are less of a big deal. Youll still have nicer clothes for going out but if your home a lot of the time the whites are a time and money saver. $30 for a dozen or so white tees you can swap out is easier than washing grease out of a black top and then spraying stains on a pink one for a big mountain of laundry. Just spray the out of the house clothes and bleach the at home clothes
So true! I can’t allow toys to take over my house can’t do it! 😅 I keep my kids outside in the park, library, and outdoor activities to keep them from destroying my house with toys 😅
I'm not sure how I ended up here because none of my demographic slices match with the focus of your channel, but I ended up staying for the occasional dark and hilarious comments you make. XD
I just started watching your videos (love them by the way) and this one in particular is the truth especially about kids toys. All parents should be aware that too many toys actually overwhelm children and cause them them to not be able to focus. More does not equal richness, wealth nor abundance, it just means more, which will soon boil down to clutter 😢. Children should be able to remember their toys as special, but they can't if they have too many.
Toys are so hard for me. My kids do play with them. My girls love little people, figurines, princesses, and my son loves Legos, hot wheels, magna tiles, k'nex…so many things and pieces. They do play with them though plus dress up which is used by two of my kids.
It’s not dumb at all .. I also buy clothes in the same color palette and it’s actually fun it can help your child style easier and learn to pick proper styles and patterns that go together naturally
I couldn’t agree more about the extra toys. My kids don’t have that many toys. They have a lot of toys don’t get me wrong but not as many as other kids. My sister and mom keep on buying them more toys since they have so few toys LOL. I tell them not to and to please create memories for them instead of wasting money on toys.
My Mom kept a tidy house, but she always felt like a governess to me, not a mother. So I like when was talking about making sure you're seen as a Mom not a maid.
I promise you a lot of the things you share is my same thought process and even my verbiage 😆. We have 8 pets 3 kids and since COVID it’s been challenging to implement consistently and That starts with moms large wardrobe too many toys nobodies playing with and as sweet as my loving husband is, he’s really a great father but house cleaning it’s like Wrecked Ralph’s and lil Wreck Ralph Jr.! When we had a maid-for shame I would pickup so the maid could clean efficiently. I’m at a lost and I’m needing help. I’m hoping I can try again with out whining bribing fussing creating fail shore boards I have no help😭. Thanks for providing
What do I do if my kids are older (10,6,3) and are already not used to helping and fight it so much and honestly don't really know how to clean up 😅. It was easier not to involve them when they were younger but now I'm realizing that was a big mistake!!
I love how you keep it real by not editing out your kids busting in on your filming. Its great that you're so down to earth and set realistic expectations for your home & your family. Ive just discovered your channel today and I've subscribed straight away because i just love your style as its so similar to my expectations. I'm in no way there yet with my home, but your videos will help with the motivation to get to that sweet spot for my home & family. Thank you.
The toy situation was out of control with 3 boys. 5 yrs later & a daughter. I can say I did it, I conquered the dreaded toy situation! 🥳 I bought my daughter $5 baskets from target and whatever fits in the 4 baskets its what she has.I will NOT PURCHASE a mountain of toys for her! I do still have 3 boxes of the boys toys and will do toy rotation. I did set a play area for her but that is my form of toy containment 🥰✨
Putting your kitchen to bed is probably the best habit for any family. We personally only wash the dishwasher once a day because we aren't there with the big family YET. But I pack the dishwasher through the day so there's no dishes all over and me and the kids pickup the kitchen after dinner and then run it. The next morning the kids help unload the dishwasher (a good practical sorting activity for them and it gets everything ready for the day🙌🏻) and then we are good to go with the rest of our things like school, errands ect
Hi! I wanted to check if you use ear protection when you vacuum (and if you happen to use a blow dryer for your hair) the noise can damage our hearing over time. Thanks for the video!
I only have 2 kids right now, but I find that when my girls have too many toys they get overwhelmed and don't play with anything. limiting how many toys they have simplified their lives and helped them enjoy the stuff they do have. it also helps my older daughter keep her room clean. rotating toys for the baby is also very helpful. 😁
I did the tote toy system. I switched out the toys every 3 months. I would switch them out while they slept and they thought it was like Christmas the next morning.lol . I'm a Nana to 4 and I have fallen into the trap to of having a playroom and all the hype. I'm done packed up over half of them and we will switch them out or get rid of them if they don't miss them.
We're 12 ish years into parenting, 9 years into home school if you count preschool… I TOTALLY agree that kids don't really play with tons of toys and that kids don't need tons of clothes either. We have four kids, fifth due in November… Less is more! This is a great list!
My parents are taking my girls for two weeks this summer. I will be purging sooooo much. We have been the lucky recipients of a lot of hand me down toys but they just end up all over the place and no one wants to take responsibility for putting them away so I’m going to pass a lot of them along while they’re gone. My guess is this they’ll never notice, unless I give away stuffed animals.

Great video ❤
I couldn't agree more that our kids are "spoiled" with item's, they don't know what to do because there is so many choices.

Home reserve couches are awesome for washable covers! The entire couch can be replaced in parts and fabric can be machine washed.

This is by far one of my absolute favorite channels I’ve ever stumbled upon on YouTube. So thankful!!!!!
You must be a stay at home mom. ❤

I can't get your cleaning lists to open up with your link. Please help

I agree with buying clothes in a similar color palette. I hate when they have weird colored shorts that only match with one certain shirt!
There’s a lot of these people
😂😂😂
Thank you for this video
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO AND FOR BEING SO TRUTHFUL!! 🥹 I needed to hear all of it .

If somebody after all that cleaning and chores with kids has still time to do make-up and look outstanding I will listen to that person!!!!!

Does this feel like stress relief to anyone else? I would watch you all the dilly dang time!
I love making the bed although my fiancé is a third shifter so as soon as I get up he’s going to bed so it’s always undone :/ I love these tips though
