Hi I love this shot colour and plane of focus is spot on , but I have a question ( which I did not notice 2 years ago ) , Was it intentional for the eyes to be looking passed you , and to your left . Thanks .
Today is my first photo shoot involving animals. Depending on how it goes, I would like to maybe throw a counter offer and trade services. I have three dogs that I really want somebody to take pictures of me with and I would love to do that for you.
I am a dog photographer form Poand. I found your videos some time ago and I must admit I can't stop coming back from time to time to check different aspects of photographing or editing. Honestly? Your way of explaining things or just talking about things is so …hmm.. normal, people friendly (including your english whis is soo easy to understand) that before I explain something to my clients or fans I often think – well, let's check if Jess covered the topic and how she did it. I have been recommending your channel to my dog loving friends who like to photograph. Good work and please keep it doing. I had to found some time at last and write to you. Take care
Doing my first ever Pet and Me session tomorrow! Great tips and I’ve been reviewing it to remind myself. Happy to help photograph you and yours, always up for learning! Also May I ask the most easiest way to remove subject and make closer together thanks! X
again and again, I would watch your videos for ours. I do portraits and your tips are very useful anyway…I try and try and try doing photos to my mum cat but…she is very reluctant, so I did just some details shot, but never say never I will have to go to do some shots for a dog of a friend during a competition…don't know when and don't know what I will manage to do( considering not a super faster lens) but will apply all your tips…and will tag you for sure🙂
Hi, great tips. Recently found your channel and subscribed. How did you edit that gap between the two pups? Or did you show it somewhere and I missed it? Thanks so much
Jessica, I just found you a few days ago and have been binge watching ever since. You are brilliant on too many levels to mention. I volunteer my services to a dog rescue to help get them adopted. Your sense of composition, lighting and engagement with your subject are above and beyond. Thank you and Merry Christmas to your family as well as your beautiful dogs. I cannot own that breed because I will never own a dog that is smarter than me.
As always, thank you so much for offering so much information to us, Jess. I haven't gotten the chance to do any pet photography in a while but I am so excited to watch your videos always!!! I wish my cat would stay still for photos.
This was really helpfull. Thank you so much…. About pictures of you and your dogs and horse… ohh i would so love to see amieaussie make these pictures… Im in love with her/his pictures all of them.. =D
Thanx Jess,,,so timely for us. Post COVID strategy for our portrait studio: switch to pets outdoors. We put up posters at dog walk trails around town offering free sessions for doggie. No one wanted just doggie; all respondents actually wanted a portrait with their pet. Another curiosity: all respondents were women with great jobs, nice homes, fine cars. This upscale clientele demanded more from us in terms settings, posing, winter garb (black is not a good colour choice) and post edit quality. We live in an arctic climate (almost tropical at times due to climate change) where sunlight is spotty, dim and so low on the horizon it’s behind trees (great backlighting though) at 14:00hr – our best opportunity for good light. Your video has helped up our game.
Send your private jet, I would love to escape our winter next year and come and photograph you and your horses and dogs. And if your jet doesn't have that range, Renate would be an excellent choice 🙂
Great tips, thanks Jess! Now I need to find someone brave enough to go out in the cold weather with me and my camera. Should I plan a trip to England next year to take photos of you and your fur babies? 😊

I took a picture with 2 point of contact by accident and now I know why it's my favorite. Thank you so much!
Aww, it's Sophia and Rhys 😍
