Thank you! I had the first nice walk with my puppy. She tends to sit down if she encounters something new and as a farm dog in a new city that happens all the time. With your tip I finally got her to move.
I just got a puppy to day and I’m determined to be the best mom
Poodles lot more stubborn
If you are continuing to bribe not accomplishing much.
what if you have a dog/puppy that could care less for treats as you show going after treats Likes some treats but goes not run for them. Set on the ground and may or ay not come for treat.
Is she getting a new treat each time you say yes?
What do we do about the puppy who pulls and wants to go ahead if the human walking them? My puppy wants to get everywhere super fast
For millennium no person forced any dog into plastic boxes for hours repeatedly. Not until businesses saw they can mak $$$ off selling them. Being PACK animals, w-t-h do you think you are DOING?
I want to know how to get my dog to listen without treats, she won’t listen to me if she knows I don’t have any and it’s driving me nuts 😢😂
Just curious, with the yield to pressure and reward, What's the risk that she is training you to feed her treats when walking on a leash?
How do you not get dizzy doing this. Ive been trying and Im dizzy from moving in circles so much
But doesn't the dog stop listening when you stop carrying treats ? What is a reasonable amount of time to continue treating them on walk?
Lots of videos out there. I like your content the best .
Many show perfectly behaved dogs following commands- which is discouraging because our pup is nowhere near that.
Thank you
What do you use for treats ? Can a puppy have to meny treats ?
Love your videos, have been very useful in just the few first days of owning our young pup.
never watched oner of these before and REALLY thought he was from the u.s. based on the thumbnail. veerrry taken aback upon hearing the accent
What a beautiful puppy
Brilliant. Starting some leash training with my 9 week old puppy. Yesterday he was acting like a rodeo horse with the lead on. I watched the first segment of this video and gave it a shot… night and day. Thanks! Lots of work to do but we went from “oh man, this is hopeless” to “hey, this is a good start” within minutes
Is it the same approach if your dog stops because he’s scared and shaking due to fear? Do you apply pressure on the leash?
Any tips for a 10-11 week old lurcher pup (bull lurcher mostly) that gets aggressive when you say no (I searched online and read they dont understand no) she becomes dominant and more bitey, starts growling and barking if I stop her from biting, what i try to do is use a bag of treats to distract, make her sit and reward her for stopping the biting and sitting, or I distract her with a toy
This is brilliant!
Any advice on what to do with a dachshund given it seems the advice for them is a harness and not a slip lead given their sensitive backs? I know harnesses are bad for training, so curious if anyone has experience.
dogs would not just sit by hearing a sound. The dogs need to be trained to do what you expected. Hire a proffesional dog trainer if you h
are having trouble
Superb, thank you.
I seem to be teaching my puppy that to get a treat you need to dig your heels in for a second and then move forward. That's counter productive to say the least. Any tips?
Great video and very informative! Thank you
Could you tell me please where one can purchase one of those dog crates?
okay hold up, he gave a treat at 3:13 and watch his hand closely, it never moves anywhere into his pockets, and magically another treat spawned into his hand at 3:21
Man..watched many of ur videos..what's up with ur hands? Perhaps u need some training to keep them less excited
"Oppositional reflex"!!!!! Thank YOU, Thank You!!!!!!! I have watched your videos and love your approach and training methods. I was hoping you had a video that touched on this subject!! I just rescued an American Pitbull Terrier and the first thing she does is lay down….dead weight!! It is extremely difficult to do anything with her since she doesn't trust or even know me that well. Thank you for posting!! I will not give up on her so thank you for your guidance and helpful instruction!!
My dogs not interested in treats, prefers praise. How can I lure him to me without praising him for not moving?
