geez Cesar starting to sound like a Mexican Oprah or Kamala.. whats with all the catch phrases and spiritual crap.. new agey book selling speak. very west hollywood
Wow. I missed the knowledge, dedication, and heart of Cesar. I used to stay at my friends house when I was about 14 where my friend and her family loved animals (my mom would never let me have a pet) so I would go to their house to feel the love of their pets & them. Cesar’s show would be on the tv and I would watch it and I took notes on how to handle, behave, and see dogs in a different way than the average person (especially the way my upbringing would view dogs/animals).
Finding Cesar’s YouTube channel now at 30yrs (😅) I finally have my first dog and I am binge watching all these videos. Cesar is one of my, if not, the TOP favorite for learning dogs (spirit, energy, etc).
How would the dog know what you want it to do without you saying anything and using its nose and eyes first? Surely the easiest way to communicate to you dog is to say what you want them to do.
A horse can be controlled solely by your energy. I can ride my horse and change gaits, go, stop and turn with slight shifts of my body.
My husband's and my first dog went deaf in her old age. I didn't even realize it at first, because she was reading my body language (the small things I did with each command – obedience or tricks. She was a wonderful dog. Found her at about 8 wks, locked in a telephone booth. We had her for 16 years. ❤
When i was 15 I got into trouble and was grounded for an entire summer. 2.5 months isolated to the house is a long time filled with a whole lot of nothing to do. My family had 2 Irish Setters and I already had a respectful relationship with them, but after a week or two of absolutele boredom and my only social connection being with them, out of curiosity I begin to observe them. Their body language, how they communicated with one another, their reactions to different stimulus, what they did all day.. needless to say, after week 3 I found myself on all fours, acting like a member of the pack, learning how to communicate with them. Walking the dogs was one of the few permitted activities I was allowed so I would walk them A LOT. We did everything together and before I knew what I was doing, I quickly established myself as the pack leader and bonded with them on a primal level. I implemented non verbal commands using sigh language, made feeding the best part of our day (previously they were free fed) and instilled a level of control I had no idea was possible. After my punishment was over, I continued that process and it was the most rewarding thing I've ever done. Those dogs were amazing and everyone would ask me how I trained them to be so good and I would tell people that they actually trained me. Fast forward later in life, I started dating a woman (now my wife) who had a terrible Chihuahua and after navigating the waters of sensitivity, took over and unlocked the most amazing dog ever using the same principles and approach i did with my childhood dogs. We later added a golden retriever into our pack and that's around the time that i discovered Cesar (2007) and was blown away that there was guy who was championing an approach i was inadvertently already doing. We were living in Manhattan at the time our pack was dialed in. We moved to Michigan and the Chihuahua lived to 17 and our Golden recently passed away in December at almost 15. We now have our 12yo rescue pup we got when she was 8wks old and adding a Leonberger Puppy into our pack in 2 weeks. Shes going to train to be a water rescue dog. Cesars way is the only way.
Amazing content. Doesn’t try to sell you anything. Doesn’t try to sell you subscriptions! Just give you simple actionable tips! Thank you. This is good public service.
I have both horses and dogs. So much of what you teach crosses over to both animals especially the energy. Love your work, you explain things in a way that makes it so easy to understand. Thank you from me and my dog
I would love to see videos on food desperate dogs. My dogs act like they are starving, when they have plenty of food. My dog will lay by the dog food container for hours and hours. It’s pitiful.
Dogs already know how to do everything we are just building a means of communication. It's cracks me up every time I hear someone saying how they taught their dog to sit lay down speak etc😂 yeah the dog didn't know how to do that until you came along🤣
my friends dog 'always' barks and freaks out when I come over… She always cuddles up with me when I am there for a while… so its not me… it seems that its just the shock of a stranger… I need some help… 'what should I do when I walk in the door, to help her?' (Luna – the dog, not my friend)
I've got a two years old Lakeland terrier working strain and he will not respond to my voice commands or return to call so he is missing out on dog socialising because I am afraid of him running off and then going missing or running into danger etc I'm getting worried that he is going to be to old to become obedient or responsive and then i can't train him in regular ways
This really works.. I just wanted to say Thank you to Cesar if you ever read this! Thanks for all your hard work and helpful tips, Which have helped me, enabling me to help many other! I grew up fearful of dogs, a habit I got from my mum.. until my cousin adopted/saved a reactive husky-lab at 2 yrs old.. we were only teenagers ourselves and Nikki was waaay too strong for my cousin, and so they lost control very quickly.. lucky for us, cesar's dog whisperer was aired around this same time, and I used Cesar's way to get a real relationship with Nikki.. it took only a few weeks for consistency, but I was not living nearby. Long story short, she became the sweetest family dog for my cousin.. Since then I've used the same methods to help others with their reactive dogs (friends and volunteering work) – even a handicapped cat that didn't trust anybody else 😂. So.. Thank you! 🙏
Great advice! Adopting and fostering dogs from unhealthy situations changed my perspective. These dogs weren't aggressive. They were terrified. Understanding the dog. Allowing trust to develop. Then training can begin. Sometimes, it's a slow process . Humans need to be patient.
Is not exactly to give an order but how to remove this order? To only not being this is said there’s a new life about only being a new process 😅😂 I’m having this problem to see this and know I’m the true one person around the dog as Cesar is explaining
Im working on training a service dog cuz our level doesn't have 25000 to buy but it is something desperately needed. Need video for that for success. Doing it free of charge, with success the goal. Can you HELP? THANK You,and LOVE YOU!!
I took in a vicious Pom, vicious because of how previously she had been treated. With patience, a firm, but loving voice, and hand gestures and facial gestures she came round and now is the most loving, obedient little, large actually, Pom around. Patience is much needed, and just looking at how your pet reacts, and you react with it.

He uses the same methods pick up artists use. Ignore, misdirection, assert dominance 😅

He has never over complicated it. He is the last dog training jedi.

Absolutely brilliant training for anyone intending to adopt a dog. Cesar, you explain and justify every little point you make. 👍

Hello from Texas 🤠❤️

Adorabile❤
Cesar lei dovrebbe addestrare gli umani che tengono cani più che i cani.
