How do you prevent this type of behavior when your not there? How much do you have to do this nefore the dog learns it shouldn't do so?/ how do you deal with it, if the behavior just continues??
This only works if the dog(s) respect you as an alpha. A weak dog handler or one lacking confidence will never have such an immediate obedient reaction.
I fostered retired race Greyhounds with the intent of taking in track dogs and returning reformed and house-ready pets. Many dogs that would be well behaved and well mannered when under the care of confident handler became uneasy and sometimes skittish when handing the reigns to another that lacked this confidence.
In two individual cases, with different dogs and different families, the family's young child was a more confident handler than their parent and the dogs responded accordingly.
In the dominant breed if you do not hold the hand as nessesary, you are irresponcible with the animal and what it is capable of left without the guidance, it's own DNA is waiting for. The Pack must have a leader that demonstrates the true leadership skills required a pack leader that most don't consider. It has NOTHING to do with size as I have seen on MANY occasion a teacup Chihuahua dominate multiple large dominant breeds. The pack leader isnt handing out candy for correction, and neither should you. When times are harder than now, the dog will have to draw deeper than treats to remain your friend. Make no mistake about it, if that animal can live easier away from you, they will do that, and if you are preventing it, respect the be confronted on the matter. It's about respect and how it is managed absolutely.
HATE how people see this as abuse, when it's CORRECTION. I do this to my dog because he's very aggressive and people think im abusing him. Hate how i have to explain im speaking his language and he will NOT listen to verbal commands. He doesn't speak english.

Yeah as long as the dog doesn’t have pitbull dominance in its breeding.
Dogs don’t listen to that shit.

I have to correct a yorkie terrier. He wants to attack my chichwawa every time he sees him. I keep separate because of everything.
Pure talent. No words
This wouldn't be necessary if Our King Charles was there.
