Jack Russell Terrier puppies don't have any common sense! I have had 4 jump off my second story balcony, which was 14' above ground! Two that jumped onto grass, jumped up and ran around with no injuries. Two jumped onto concrete: one was fine, but one broke a leg in 8 places requiring a bar and pins.
This didnt help at all. I have a clip on leash.

15 week old mini american shepard (mini aussie blue merle) i am taking him to petsmart puppy class for socialization basically sit stay etc…we have a male aussie (full size) 2 yr and a female mutt 5 1/2 yr so he does know how to be around other dogs but when i put a leash on him he decided to just sit still. I put my full size aussie on a leash and walk with him he moves… so i am leaving the aussie at home randomly so he will walk without another dog. both of my big dogs walk off leash so he sees them walking beside me and he does it too… I keep a leash on him of course he doesn't know not to run off.. yet but he will.
