My neighbor's dog wouldn't stop barking, then one day we heard some voice from 3 houses away scream "shut your f_ng dog or I'll shoot it!!". We didn't hear the dog bark anymore after that.

Where I'm at it begins as calling animal control, getting paperwork to document the barking. Then gotta send it in. They in turn send a letter to the dog owner explaining the law and how it's a warning then fines. Gotta call it in with a case number until they finally show up and fine the person. It begins at 25 dollars then it's 50, 75 then finally 100. Then it stays at 100 for every violation. Long ass process. I'm dealing with it rn tbh
After my neighbors dog attacked mine (I was the only injury), I told him that his dog can’t be running around in the street without a leash. The nincompoop looked at me as I was holding onto his dog (who wasn’t wearing a leash) in the middle of the street and straight up tried to gaslight me saying that his dog wasn’t in the street. I skipped straight ahead to calling animal control.

My neighbor is trying to take part of our land through adverse possession and bought a german shepherd to guard that area. Anytime I go in that wooded area she aggressively barks at me and the neighbors just stand there for 10 minutes then call her back. There is no noise ordinance in our area as the area is rural. There are no options available to us.
Do not ever feed the dog chocolate or poison to keep the animal quiet. File a noise complaint with your local governmental authority.
