Even at home, I preportion the dog food into ziplock bags. This way, all I need to do is grab a bag in the morning and feed her. No need to measure the food and it keeps pests out of it. When we go camping, all I need to do is grab the number of bags per day I need. Once the bags are empty, they are flat and take up no space at all and ready for the next time. I have camped with dogs for the last 30 years, 20 of those in tents. Got my first pop-up 10 years ago and now have a travel trailer. Seems like plenty of space now. Last year it was me, my son, my two dogs, and his dog in a 24 ft tt. We crated two of them, the third was okay left out when we were out and about. Fun times was trying to get out of the camper in the morning with three dogs at the door not so patiently waiting to get out themselves.
My husband and I just sold our house and now we are full time RV living. we are mooch docking at my brothers house. My husband is retiring in March. We have 5 dogs with us. Are there places out there that will allow us to have our dogs? here in Las Vegas we cant find any.
Hmmmm…not sure our 2 8 month old kitties would use the top entry litter box. We used disposables and that worked out well in our last trip in October. Water bowls..not an issue. Loved the hands free leash though. Now if you have tips for kitties and their zoomies..am all ears! Our Sheltie never leaves our site so crate no needed.
I’m so sorry if this is a stupid question but I’m not looking to travel. I just have to sell my house before I get foreclosed on. I struggle with my mental health (panic disorder and depression) staying employed is impossible these past few years. I’ve started a dozen jobs in the last 3 years. So I’m gonna have to sell my house and I have 2 dogs and three cats. Now I see it’s possible to live with all of them in an RV. Thank God. But where can I live with them? Like where am I allowed to park my RV with them? I know that trailer parks (sorry if that’s not the correct term) don’t allow pets or if they do, it’s only like one cat. I just want to be able to be safe and keep us all together without ending up totally homeless.
❤ Thank you, we are just starting our travels. We won’t be doing full time, we have a house in South Fork, Colorado. We will be traveling with 2 big black labs in our class A. We’ve always traveled with them in the truck, 5th wheel. They go just about everywhere with us. They are wonderful travelers, but in the truck. We took them out for a ride today to see how well they will do in the class A.
I'd like to thank you for this video. You certainly gave me a few things to think about, and a few good ideas. I have been researching full time RV living for almost 2 years. I'm still 6 to 8 months away (pending selling the house and finding the right rv). It's been a while since I have seen a video for RV life that I find helpful. I grew up in camper vans and RV's, so I'm familiar with the workings.
I'm planning on taking at least one cat (4 or 5 years old. She is a mellow cat, and is ok riding in a car. However, I recently rescued two more babies (Feral foundlings) that I have bonded with a little TOO much, to simply hand them off to the next person whose looking for a cat. They have imprinted on me, and sit with me on my desk as I watch videos like this.
If I keep them, it will certainly be an adventure. Just me, and 3 cats.
We are boaters with a dog, but some of the same rules apply. We keep a 30' Lead that we can tie off and give her some space to get some energy out or have privacy to do her business. (our dog is 60 lbs. so not a small one)
One thing we learned the hard way was to buy a duplicate set of leashes and collars. We even used a checklist and still forgot them on our last adventure.
Oh my gosh, you a natural teacher! When you leaned into the camera to tell us about your dog eating cat poopsicles, I felt like we were friends IRL and you were telling me a personal secret, well done!
try a flushable cat litter box with a mat under it next to your couch or hidden or placed somewhere no mess no smell no scooping lol no poop for dog to eat also.
The only problem with the hands free if you have a large dog who spots something and tries to run. I know my leash was around my fist and both hands were full. He drug me down hill until the dog lot fence stopped us. She was a Boxer Hound mix. Fortunately I didn’t fall needles to say I hadn’t ran that fast since I was a kid. 😂
I have 3 dogs, I made the under the bed space as a dog crate. I also put a camera looking into crate there for easy visibility. I also have a small outside fence for them to be able to sun bathe outside
This has helped so much, we are doing a whole lifestyle change and Goals is RV life FT. BUT we have 3 cats and a big dog 😆 ..and 2 kids. Any recommendations are helpful and graceful!

I see you have a Great Pyrenees. How do you manage the barking and shedding ?

We just started and found using brown noise keeps the dogs calm in the park when we are out.

How is the camera powered? Batteries? Thank you
Your info is great! Thank you. I have been looking for a portable fence for my Afghan Hound. So thank you for letting us know about the FXW company.

Do you ever have any problems with campgrounds not accepting pets?
Love the water dish idea. Definitely getting one of those.

No more Kitty-box crunchies! 👍🏻
In australia if you go into a national park you can’t take pets
Has anyone modified a bunk area to fit one or two collapsible dog crates?
Just recommend your channel and am so grateful. About to start Skoolie life with a toddler, baby, dog, and two cats.
we have 5 animals and i can not imagine attempting to live this life with them or children. but we really want an rv/camper

What do you do when a campground says you can’t leave your pets alone in the camper? We are considering traveling with our dog and 3 cats.
ty for the tips, We are moving full time with a big dog and 2 indoor cats.
I have an orange and white cat that looks very similar to yours!! We also have a chihuahua

I would also recommend having all pet records as well as microchip information. Have the chip registered in case they are lost.
