Step three, gently coax the tarantula onto your hand using the implement. Be careful not to harm the tarantula.
Step four, be very gently allow the tarantula to sit on your hand. If you have to readjust your hand, do so very slowly

If I had a pet tarantula, there's only two ways I'd hold her: either within the confines of the enclosure, or on my bed and blankets. No falls, no injuries either way. Of course, there's the possibility that she might claim my bedding for burrowing LOL….
