Yea those flexi leashes aint worthy first time i tried using one to walk my bull dog who was young at the time he ran out the door i tried to lock it and he ripped it right out good thing he has a good recall lol
Okay, those leads are shit. A family friend of mine got her leg cut because of one of those. But, with a harness (certain ones, anyway), there is a place to clip the lead about the dog's middle back, so it doesn't pull on their neck
Im so tired of people hating on harnesses! No, a harness isn't a replacement for training. Of course it isn't. Is it a practical tool for safety? Yes. Is it a safe way to fasten a dog for car rides? Yes. Does it prevent slipping in slender dogs? Yes. Does it offer quick control in an emergency situation? Yes. There are so many ways that harnesses are helpful, practical tools for well-trained dogs. The problem is not the tool, it is always the way it is used or misused.
We had a mastiff using a vest it was easier to use with her and it wasn't a fake service dog vest and a leash that we called the hose leash because it was so thick it was but we also lived in the woods
I was harassed by a lady because i was trying to train my dog to go from emotional support to seizure alert and service dog and now i just avoid going any where because everyone is trying to police everything….
A harness is sometimes better than a collar. My friend got a puppy that had absolutely no self preservation instinct and would choke himself, to death if given the chance, while pulling on the leash. They got him a harness so that they could actually hold him back.

fake service dogs are absolutely diabolical, but if it isn't very, very obvious its a fake service dog, never assume it is
The harness is probably the best thing to use when walking an older or sickly dog
Ngl I disagree your not a fool for being more safe wid a harness

I use the harness because my dog is young and still pulls so we give him the harness so he does not choke himself

We have harnesses on our dogs cause we have dog who’s a full fledged flight risk and has escaped his collar
My dog has to be on a harness because she used to choke her self with her collar by accident and pulling to hard

My dog (staff cross lab) does pretty well on a harness and it very well behaved and responds to my commands really well at only 1 year old
What do I do if my dog litterly chokes herself lol she's a small pup so easy to contol but she chokes herself like an idiot!
My dog starts choking it’s self with a collar when I go to take her on a walk
We use a harness because he slips right out the collar because is head is smaller than his neck
Well I need a harness for my dog bc he is deaf
I was harassed by a lady because i was trying to train my dog to go from emotional support to seizure alert and service dog and now i just avoid going any where because everyone is trying to police everything….
the joy of dog-sitting a well behaved ten year old Chihuahua that actually belongs on a flimsy flexi leash
