I always find that question very rude and disrespectful. It’s not anyone’s place to ask why you didn’t neuter your pet. If they wanna neuter their pets and that’s what works for them then do it but you don’t know what another persons plans are with their pets.

My vet said don’t neuter or spade a dog before 2yrs old or after 5 yrs old.

My Amstaff/Pit mix is coming into heat and has exhibited behavioral changes but it’s been months and her vulva is not super swollen or pink, she isn’t bleeding yet and she’ll be 11 months old soon. I’m anxious to get her through her first cycle and then get her spayed too. How long does it take from time of behavioral changes to time of period? Are there any other signs that she’s in heat besides bleeding?

I'm glad u did comment that you're getting her spayed. And not bc I am nosey but I do know that you take such good care of them and leaving them not spayed makes their chances for all sorts of cancer go up very high and that is devastating! I'm not sure why the vet said to wait. Some say that, some do it before and some do it during even. I just always saw how painful it really can be for animals and a lot of people don't realize it. But you totally made your baby more than comfortable. I love the videos. I started cooking my lab ground turkey with veggies and a dippy egg on top a lot more and she loves it

Question is: is Reign also neutered though? And I’m under the impression that vets always advise to wait until the first cycle before fixing dogs.
