I have my first hamster for 2 weeks, it's a dwarf. As a kid I had cats, dogs and guinea pigs. I find the hamster boring, but I'm really busy with my work, so this was the only option for me. I love adding more and more stuff to the enclosure to provide more and more enrichment, but I wish I could pet more, but I hope we will improve in time. When it's a busy day, it's good that I don't have to worry about my animal, but when I have some time I wish to pet and bond more, but it's okay, because it suits my current life-style.
They're such funny little critters Lowkey. Mine always bit through his plastic carriers that we had to oficially get a wooden one, but even that was bit through partially to where the 2nd floor collapsed. We moved onto the metal bar bird cage-type 3 story home and finally, finally, they stopped biting through jt
