Yes, u r right, they are very clean animals, Tweetie would bathe under my running pipe in the kitchen or wherever she sees the running water, as a matter of fact, she stands next to the sink to let me know to turn on the water so she could take her bath😃🤗👏👏👊🥰! Tweetie is a great pidgeon! 🤗😘
I got one, her name isTweetie, I picked her up as a new born baby on the floor of my job! She learned to fly in my apartment, grew her feathers in here too, and she’s territorial at times but she’s very loving, I tried setting her free when she was about six weeks old, but she flew right back to me, I tried 3 times and she flew right on my shoulder while I walked back home. She’s here with me for good with my two cats. They all get along and she flies all over the house! 😂! I love my Tweetie!

They do like toys. Basil my Crested Chinese Roller loves balls, especially balls with bells. Do you know they wing box? Don't say the bite does not hurt. It is quite a pinch.
Pidgeons are not especially intelligent compared to the average bird. Just saying, I have seen them repeat the same error multiple times, not a sign of heightened intelligence. For example; Pidgy swallows a whole nail, its tummy hurts and it has to go to vet to have the nail surgically removed. Also Pidgy; After 2 months of recovery finds another tiny nail and eats that. R.I.P. Pidgy.
What about all the pooping?
They are also sensitive and kind, close by when you are sad, and jaunty and comical when you are happy. My little guy loves to take himself for a little walk around the house, stopping to admire himself in any reflective surface. One of the most unique and fun pets I have ever had.
Okay but there also forgetful- my cousin raised several domestic ones SINCE EGGS and they don’t recognize her at all

yes, they are lovely but….lets chat about the down side —- Bites can hurt, Not always loving, and their poop is ….every where, I have 2 living in my bedroom — male and female, and YES they love standingonmy keyboard, I call them my little IT techs. haha but I will say they are not all loyal or loving, some don't like to be pet, touched, unless they want it.

I want a cockatoo because I find their screaming antics fun. But I will settle for one of every color, shape and size of pigeon and dove. Maybe if I go outside with seeds and wait long enough I can catch one.

A thing to note—the pigeons themselves are clean, but if you do not properly clean after them or use a diaper, they will not leave their surroundings clean
